Here is an early preview of our family card this year (I have to admit not my best) but I am running out of time and have my hands full with these girls. Lori Smith from Photography by Lorien took these images for us an I used a digital backdrop in the editing process kind of fun for Christmas. I usually dont do the Christmas theme stuff but this year we went all out Traditional, Christmas outfits, Santa hats and all. Merry Christmas to all our family, friends, fans and followers.
Here is a new design custom made for my brother and his cute family. Can't take credit for the pics...I think they set the timer on thier camera. This pic sure makes me miss home...the golden hills and Mt. Diablo in the backdrop. Only doing one more week of Pics and cards so if you are needing last minute snapshots or cards let me know putting in a big order tomorrow and one more next week.
We survived our first week. Actually it was great....she slept the whole time. We celebrated her first week by taking a trip to Amanda's portrait studio [Livingston Photography]. She is amazing and we had so much fun playing dress up and digging through her fun gorgeous props. Some other milestones this week have been visits from Grandma and Grandpa Bradford, Uncle Tyson and Aunt Niki and of course friends. Her belly button finally fell off on day 11 woo hoo so now we can have fun in the bath instead of being washed sponge bathed. Smiling a ton and having more waking moments....se is soooo sleepy. Overall we love her more and more each day. Thanks again to Amanda fo these amazing memories. Sicily Ella Bradford. We are so excited to finally have her here. She arrived Nov. 13 at 2:10 in the afternoon wieghing 7 lbs 13 oz and 19 inches long. She has been such a blessing to us and has brought so much joy into our home. Lets just say she is a little spoiled and is never put down, but she is handling it well and is such a good baby. Below is a quick pic of all the girls in the hospital (bad lighting etc.) and then a montage of her first day alive, and then we had fun dessing up today (thanks to her future dance tachers Ms. Lisa and Ms. Marci for her adorable outfit and a good friend for her ballet sox) we were able to grab some sweet pics. I am sure more to come sorry if that is all that is on here for a while but we are just a little excited.
Some of the Christmas Card Design this year, they are 5x7 double sided... designs are $25 plus prints (includes envelopes) Let me know if anyone needs some custom designed cards....can do just about anything.
Yes Halloween might be my favorite Holiday.....maybe becuase I love Fall. We sarte our festivities this year with Cairos class party on Tues. She went as a mummy and I did not grab a good pic of her in her costume becuase I thought she was going to wear it again little did I know she was going to change her mind and be a witch. Later that day we participated in the town trick or treat down main street, Londn had a Halloeen party with her Primay class and the two older girls had glow dance (black light). That night we spent a good couple hours braiding hair and painting black fingernails. On Halloween we had another round of glow dance for Cairo and then class parties at the Elementary school. We then had a good time with friends at a Halloween party and rounded out the night with some Family Trick or Treating in the neighborhood. So this year we ended up with a witch, a Pirate and Madussa.
Here are some of the pics of our fall leaves we have enjoyed this Sept/Oct. The color is almost gone due to the rain and wind and that the color came on so early this year. Oh yeah and pics of the girls too. Cairo's reel was so funny. I had to share more than a couple. For the families who took advantage of the Falalala mini sessions your pics will be up soon. Getting to them today. If you missed out on getting a session done but still want Christmas Cards let me know...we ca use pics from your own camera, another shoot that you have the copyrights too or book a special session for your family and get them done.
Here is my summer project roundup minus a couple because I forgot to take pictures. Fom top to bottom left to right. Rain Gutter Shelves in the girls' secret hallway, New Curtains to match the redone pillows for our new couches, Tree finally painted on the wall and in this pic decorated for Halloween, Painted Stripes in baby sis' room, Paper Flowers that hang over baby sis' crib, Penant Banner made from old baby clothing of the girls to hang in front of crib and on window, Bumper Pad made out of minki on one side and old baby clothing of the girls on the other. Super fun projects glad they are done and on to Fall projects......fun new wreaths for Halloween and Thanksgiving, new pennant banners, new stockings for Christmas, Paint the entry way, sand and paint old window panes, sand and paint old door and turn it into a headboard for my room, Mini Sessions and Christmas Card designs....just to name a few oh yeah and having this baby major Fall project.
This month has been a very busy month. With school starting, birthdays, primary program and events at the office oh yeah and soccer we have just been running, running, running. Last September was a different story and we are glad that we are all healthy and happy this year. We took some time on Sept. 7 to remember our Angel Baby Boston. For those who may not know (new fans on facebook) we were expecting a baby boy in Feb. of 2012 but he came to us way toooo early in Sept. of last year. If you are interested you can read about it here. So for his birthday we got some baby blue balloons and we took some time to write a note to our little baby brother. It was interesting to see what the girls wrote and how long they took writing down just the right words. It was very sweet. We then proceded to the back yard where we counted to three and released our balloons with our little notes on them. It was a great way to honor and reflect I won't say remembe because he is in no way forgotten and is a daily topic of converstaion in our house. We are greatful for the trial we had last year and the great blessings and lessons recieved.
Here is the info I promised on the family mini sessions.... I know it is early to think of Christmas Cards but Fall pictures make the best Christmas Cards and why not get a jump start on them and get them done. Please email me if you would like to book session or have questions all the info is below. I am so excited to get to designing this years cards. Fell in love with the design on this tonight....my brother nd his family are so cute.
I also do customised cards and invites. Here is a new one for this weeks festivities. Cairo is turning 5 and although she would love to have a glamorous all grily makeup party.....girlfriends are few in numbers now that school is back in and some of her friends went to Kindergarten. So we opted for a Jake and the neverland Pirate Party so we cold invte some of our guy friends and have a pirate blast. I wanted her to wear her pirate eye patch but she wasnt going to so we opted for an inocet pic and put her on Izzy's body. I tink they turned out great we will see how they print. I am just going to print on cardstock and burn the edges to make it a real treasure map. So fun.
My dear friend Lori Smith from Photography by Lorien came out with us to snap some belly pics and the fam bam. We went later in the evening I think we left the house at 7:30. I wanted to get the sunset and some sun flare but I wasnt thinking of the West hills being in the way so by the time we got out to our location the sun had already gone behind the West mountains. Thank goodness for photoshop to help out with the lighting. Lori was kind enough to just hand over the pics and let me have at em. As you can see from the before and after below photoshop is amazing. After tweaking my lighting levels I used Pioneer Women's Bost and Lovely actions set. It helped to brighten and soften the graininess of the evening light.
Just played wth the lighting levels and used Pioneer Womens boost to bring out th bright colors.
Just like above playedwith lighting levels and then used PW Boost and Lovely action sets.
This one I used a country vintage action set Pure Actons to match the girls individual pics that I had done earlier that same evening and in the post below
I also did all the pics in this PW Heartland action and added a pink tone to it to print and possibly hang in her room.
So we headed out to do our "real back to school pics" we used our office building...it has a new updated face to it but in the back and side are some great old Brick walls and some metal garage doors...we chose the Brick walls. We did a quick set up and light test and hopped to it. As we were finishing up two fellow photogs joined in on the good summer evening light. Super fun to see us all out doing what we love. These top three are edited with Pure Actions Country Vintage... I wanted to do somethin different for some prints in my house ummmm Cairo's is to die for....melt my heart..have I told you she really thinks she is a Princess. Syd was having an akward nigt not sure what was up but could not get a good look from her and London was up till all hours of the night at a sleepover (she is still reaping the consequences of that one) but you can tell in the pics this was even after a four hour nap. Oh well they will have to work for now.
Here was our fun quick throw together back to school shoot. Wardrobe, hair and makeup designed by these preteeners. This is sort of what my girls' real Back to School pics will look like but maybe in an all grass field or any kind of field and evening light with maybe some sun flare and of course some of thie new school clothes and yes shoes this time. But with these cute girls it was still fun to play around. Let me know if you may be interested in some of these pics may just do this weekend.
